A fast-paced, non-contact version of American football.
Description
Flag football is a variation of American football that is played without tackling. Instead, players wear flags attached to their belts, and when a player is “tackled”, the flag is pulled off. The game is played on a smaller field than traditional American football, and the rules are simplified to make it more accessible to a wider range of players.

How to Play
-
Number of Players Required: Flag football can be played with as few as 4 players, but it’s more fun with a larger group.
-
What You’ll Need
- A football
- Flags (one for each player)
- A field or open space to play in
-
Gameplay
- Divide the players into two teams.
- Flip a coin to decide which team gets the ball first.
- The team with the ball tries to advance it down the field by carrying or passing it.
- The other team tries to stop the ball carrier by pulling off their flag.
- If a player’s flag is pulled off, they are out of the play.
- The team with the ball gets four downs to advance the ball 10 yards.
- If they fail to gain 10 yards, the other team takes over possession of the ball.
- The game ends when one team scores a touchdown (by carrying or passing the ball into the end zone) or when time runs out.
Winning Criteria: The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Estimated Playtime: A game of flag football typically lasts for 30-60 minutes.
Make it Your Own
- You can make the game more challenging by increasing the number of players or the size of the field.
- You can also add obstacles to the field to make it more difficult for players to advance the ball.
- If you want to make the game more fun for younger players, you can use a smaller ball or make the field smaller.
